Bihar's chief minister residence/office complex at 1 Aney Marg in Patna received a building-scale solar and efficiency project initiated in 2012. Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency's official achievement list records a 100 kWp installation, while contemporary reporting says Larsen & Toubro won the national tender and that the project also replaced lighting and equipment with efficient alternatives and added digital monitoring. Later industry/academic compilations instead list 125 kW and Optimal Power Solutions; those later attributions conflict with the official/contemporary record and do not explain whether 125 kW refers to solar, storage power, or a subsequent scope.
- Research status
- The project was announced and awarded in 2012 and was reported as an operating 100 kW installation by 2014. BREDA still lists the CM House 100 kWp project as an achievement, but no post-2014 generation, maintenance, battery, or outage-performance record was found. The official residence was renamed Lok Sevak Awas and changed occupants in 2026; that administrative change does not establish the current condition of the energy system.
