This is a major expansion from the 30-50 kW PV configurations documented around its 2011 commissioning.

Operating. Hakai Institute's current technology page says the solar array can power the entire site under favorable conditions and charges the battery with surplus energy. The latest quantified fuel outcome found is historical: a 2016 owner article said diesel use had fallen below 20% of the pre-project level despite added buildings. Current annual renewable share, diesel liters, battery state of health, and generator runtime are not publicly reported.
