Taykwa Tagamou Nation's project progressed beyond the archived planning status into a community-wide rollout of grid-connected distributed solar, initially on public buildings and then on residences. The clearest exact pilot is a 50 kW ground-mounted array plus 50 kWh battery at the Community Complex. Developer JAZZ Solar describes a broader 2021 installation as 250 kW solar plus storage and markets the Nation as '100% solarized,' while 2024 community reporting says each participating home has roughly 8-9 kW. Those claims do not form a reconciled as-built inventory and do not mean the community is off-grid or meets 100% of annual load from solar.

Research status
Phase 1 on community buildings was reported complete and residential phase 2 underway in 2021; by 2024 community reporting described solar on every home and substantial bill savings. Taykwa Tagamou's own current corporations page describes community-wide solar microgrids managed through its energy enterprise. A February 2026 RFP for load, distribution, and Hydro One connection studies confirms continued grid-connected energy planning and expansion. No consolidated 2025/26 meter, storage, outage, or installed-capacity inventory was found, so the correct status is installed and operating as distributed grid-connected systems, with aggregate performance not independently verified.
