From Tokyo Gas:
Under this social circumstance, Tokyo Gas is proposing the Holonic Energy Systems (HES) which aim energy conservation and CO2 reductions by harmonization of distributed power systems and utility power grid. It is supposed that HES might make a new energy paradigm by networking distributed energy resources (DERs). And also, we are going ahead with research and development of them. As part of these activities, we had constructed a microgrid verification test facility composed with gas engine CHPs, PV, wind power and battery in our Yokohama Research Institute. By using this facility, we are demonstrating technologies concerning about balancing of renewable energy fluctuation, optimal planning and operation of distributed energy systems, multiple power quality distribution, isolated operation of microgrid and contribution to utility power grid.
